East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Special Education/Rehabilitation is looking for Instructor(s) to teach introductory courses in Special Education, Rehabilitation, and Applied Behavior Analysis. Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU’s proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country’s largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun. 
The Department of Special Education/Rehabilitation at East Stroudsburg University is establishing a three-year, temporary faculty teaching pool. The successful candidate will be an active member of the department and will work to develop and mentor students.   Applications on-hand will be used to fill vacancies as needed.

ESU's Special Education/Rehabilitation Department offers a variety of programs of study that lead to a Bachelor of Science degree.  The program offers a comprehensive foundation of courses and an opportunity for students to select elective courses within specific areas of Liberal Arts to prepare students to excel in their career and life.


Qualifications

  •  A master’s degree in education or a related field.
  • Strong background in Special Education/Rehabilitation in schools or educational administration to join a growing undergraduate and graduate teacher certification program or Rehabilitation services.
  • Must have teacher’s certification [negotiable based on position]
  • 3 years of experience teaching in education [negotiable based on position]
  • The ability to teach Distance learning and/or off-campus teaching opportunities may be possible.
  • Previous experience working with diverse populations.
  • Special Education certification and experience in schools or administration and supervision preferred. [negotiable based on position]
  • Rehabilitation-related experience in Human Services is preferred. [negotiable based on position]
