East Stroudsburg University’s Department of Nursing is looking for undergraduate Instructor(s)/Adjunct(s)) to teach medical-surgical, community health, psychiatric-mental health, and maternity clinical! Located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, ESU’s proximity to New York City and Philadelphia provides convenient access to internships, careers, and social activities. Just minutes from campus are the country’s largest water parks, scenic Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area, Appalachian Trail, and other opportunities for recreational fun.
Adjunct
faculty are needed
to teach in the classroom, clinical, and simulation areas, medical-surgical, community health,
psychiatric-mental health, and maternity nursing. The successful candidate will
be driven by excellence and will understand the importance of allowing students
to create and apply knowledge within active learning environments. The
candidate will need to demonstrate potential for success in college teaching
and contribute to the academic program development at the undergraduate
level.
ESU's Nursing Department offers a four-year program of study that
leads to a baccalaureate degree. The program offers a comprehensive
foundation of courses and an opportunity for students to select elective
courses within specific areas of general education to prepare students to excel in nursing.
Qualifications
- Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DNP) and/or ABD candidates preferred, and at least 2 years of teaching at the undergraduate level, and 5 to 10 years of clinical experience in nursing required.
