Job Description:

The Director is expected to facilitate University-wide strategic informatics, data science, and artificial intelligence research through strengthening and building faculty teams, acquiring grants, fund-raising, and recruiting new faculty. The Director will report to the Vice President for Research.

Expected Salary:

Commensurate based on experience, education, and qualifications.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M., D.D.S., or equivalent 

Preferred Qualifications:

The candidate should have a strong record of successful, multi-disciplinary research and some administrative experience and commitment to working with researchers and educators in data science / informatics / artificial intelligence in the areas of algorithms, analysis, and problem domain applications.  The academic appointment of the Director is expected to be as an Associate or Full Professor in an appropriate Department and College, based on the candidate’s qualifications and expertise.
