The Indiana University School of Medicine – West Lafayette (IUSM‐WL) on the Campus of Purdue University is searching for a part-time (0.75 CUL), 10-month Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine positions on its teaching faculty. Successful applicants will become a Purdue University non‐tenure track faculty member. Successful applicants will be primarily responsible for serving as a Course Director for an introductory physician skills course for first and second year medical students. They will provide administrative and educational oversight of a team of physicians helping to teach a clinically oriented course in Fundamentals of Clinical Practice. They will also serve as a Master Clinical instructor for a group of 10-12 students and participate in other Center teaching and administrative activities as a faculty member including, e.g., involvement in clinical skills training (history and physical exams), supervision of small group discussions and activities, and one‐on-one mentoring with individual students. The IUSM plans to implement a new systems-based curriculum to be delivered at all regional campuses in 2016.
Candidates must possess an M.D. and be board certified or board eligible in a medical specialty.
