Duration of Contract: Permanent

Salary: UH7 £35,333 - £38,592 pro rata per annum with potential to progress to £42,155 pro rata per annum on achieving designated skills and experience

Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

We are seeking to recruit a proactive Workplace Health and Wellbeing Adviser to join the Health and Safety and Occupation Health Team within the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

Main duties and responsibilities

Based in the Health and Safety and Occupation Health team, you will be responsible for leading, influencing and delivering the Health and Workplace wellbeing programme and associated initiatives and development for staff at the University. Working closely with key stakeholders across Safety, Occupational Health, HR, Hertfordshire Sports Village, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, you will be the practical lead in implementing and enhancing the University's workplace wellbeing framework. You will also continually develop, drive and refine, the wellbeing strategy across the university.

Skills and experience needed

You will possess demonstrable experience in developing and implementing a proactive wellbeing strategy across a large complex organisation. You will also be able to evidence extensive management experience in the field of Health and Wellbeing.

It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage professionally with staff at a senior level, including internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ability to influence attitudes and behaviours, in order to drive and promote a proactive approach to a positive wellbeing culture.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a minimum of an Honours degree or equivalent level qualification or proven experience.
