The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint two Widening Participation and Outreach Champions (each 1 PA/week) to the team tasked with marketing and recruitment to the Medicine and Medicine with a Gateway Year programmes at Lincoln Medical School.

The Widening Participation and Outreach Champions will report to the Associate Dean of Medicine and will work closely with each other and with other academic and professional services staff to support the recruitment to medicine of school children to whom a career in medicine may seem unobtainable. The post holders will develop key relationships with the University's schools and colleges liaison and recruitment teams and play an important role in the medical school’s strategy for widening participation.

The posts will be based at the University of Lincoln Campus, but travel to schools and colleges across Greater Lincolnshire will be required. Travel expenses will be paid.

Candidates must have a medical degree and hold full registration and licence to practise with the GMC and be a member of a medical royal college or equivalent. The posts are suitable for doctors at specialist trainee level or above who are interested in developing and consolidating a career in Medical Education.
