We are now looking for a Web Development Officer to join our Technology Enhanced Learning Team in Swansea.
- THE ROLE -
As a Web Development Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Web Team with content management and design services. You will also be involved in website governance and development, CMS systems support and end-user training.
Liaising with stakeholders from across the University, you will provide a responsive and professional central web development service. This will include advice and guidance on the application of web technologies for marketing, communications, learning and teaching purposes.
You’ll inspire and interact with staff to support the design and development of high-quality web solutions and train end-users in the operational use of the CMS.
- ABOUT YOU -
To be considered as a Web Development Officer, you will need:
- Previous Web Content Management or Web Development experience
- Previous experience of using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Previous experience of providing end-user training
- The ability to systematically create, review and test web assets, applying an eye for detail to identify content and technical issues and to resolve or escalate as appropriate
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
- Knowledge of Web Accessibility
- The ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of new developments in web-related technologies and processes
- The ability to present and deliver training sessions
Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial to your application.
