London Metropolitan University is an extraordinary institution. Everything we do is underpinned by our mission to transform lives through the power of education. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it is what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving London.

Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.

Following the successful tenure and retirement of Professor Lynn Dobbs, we are now seeking to appoint our next Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive to continue that strategic direction and lead the next phase in the University’s development. Building on strong foundations and healthy finances, the new Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive will oversee the delivery of outstanding education, student experience and graduate outcomes, foster research that is impactful locally and globally, and inspire an inclusive institutional culture.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional individual to bring strategic vision and leadership to the London Met community. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of significant board-level leadership in a large and complex organisation, a consultative, collaborative and open approach, and a demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, alongside a personal commitment to the core values of London Metropolitan University and its social mission.

Here's more about our University through the voices of staff and students.
