*UoL Redeployees only* RESEARCH ASSISTANT IN CHILD LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT GRADE 6

Updated: almost 2 years ago
Location: Liverpool, ENGLAND
Deadline: 29 May 2022

Applications are invited for a postgraduate Research Assistant to carry out research on child language acquisition with, and on behalf of, the members of the Liverpool Language Lab. Your task will be primarily to recruit and test child participants for individual research projects on how children learn to talk, but you will also work with the team to support participant recruitment in general.  You must be willing to travel within the region for testing and recruitment and to work occasional weekends and evenings. The position would suit an individual interested in a career in research on language or child development, in teaching, or in child-focussed clinical work.

This post offers the opportunity to join a thriving research group at the Liverpool Language lab at the University of Liverpool, and to collaborate closely with researchers in the Language Development Department of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, the Netherlands (MPI Nijmegen).

You should have by June 2022, a first class or 2;1 honours degree in psychology, cognitive science, linguistics or a related discipline.  The post is available from 1 September 2022 until 31 August 2023.
