About the Role

This assistant is one of two assistant posts in the Department and supports the work of the student support team.  This post will work collaboratively with the Undergraduate Administrator for Quality Assurance and Assessment. Both posts will support and complement the work of the UG Teaching and Learning Team.

This post will provide organisational and administrative support to the Department of Law students and academic staff. The post holder will work within established guidelines to ensure the smooth flow of the student cycle while also supporting other administrative functions in the department.

About the School of Law

The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School of Law has two organisational units: the Department of Law (DOL) and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law focuses on the culture and institutions of the rule of law in creating civil society at all levels from the local to the transnational.  As one of the largest law schools in the UK, it provides high quality teaching to more than 1,000 undergraduate students.
