The UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowship scheme (UKRI FLF) offers an exciting opportunity to join Imperial. This scheme intends to grow the strong supply of talented people needed to ensure that UK research and innovation continues to be world class, supporting early career researchers and innovators with outstanding potential. These Fellowships support applicants from diverse career paths, including those returning from a career break or following time in other roles; UKRI encourages a diversity of applicants. The UKRI FLF scheme provides long-term support in order to enable fellows to tackle ambitious programmes or multidisciplinary questions, and new or emerging research and innovation areas and partnerships.
At Imperial, we are using an open process to select candidates to support through this funding opportunity. Applicants must demonstrate how the UKRI FLF will support and enable their long-term career goals and how their skills and experience at the time of application are aligned to the scheme. Applicants must contact their preferred department in advance of submitting their ‘request for support’ form and show in their applications to Imperial how their proposal aligns to the department’s strategic aims and research priorities.
To learn more about this opportunity (including the named contact for each department) and apply go to: http://www.imperial.ac.uk/research-fellowships/ukri-flf/information-for-applicants . Those interested in applying are expected to contact their proposed host department as early as possible, to discuss their intentions to apply and to acquire information about any additional departmental timelines and local processes.
Enquiries should be directed to [email protected] .
Deadline for applications is Monday 18 March 2024 (midday BST)
We are committed to equality of opportunity, to eliminating discrimination and to creating an inclusive working environment for all. We therefore encourage candidates to apply irrespective of age, disability, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belief, gender identity, sex, or sexual orientation. We are an Athena SWAN Silver Award winner, a Disability Confident Leader, A Race Equality Charter Bronze Award winner and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
The College is a proud signatory to the San-Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), which means that in hiring and promotion decisions, we evaluate applicants on the quality of their work, not the journal impact factor where it is published.
