The School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at Cardiff University is a dynamic and successful multi-disciplinary centre devoted to research in the disciplines of Earth and Ocean Sciences.
Applications are invited for the post of Tutor in Earth Sciences or Geography (Water Science). The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and assessment of topics in hydrology and water in the environment within undergraduate degree programmes and an MSc programme concerning Water and the Changing World. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake seminars, tutorials and group work and supervise student projects and carry out teaching-related administrative duties, in particular with the MSc programme. Teaching contributions are within a framework of an agreed programme typically overseen by an academic member of staff. In addition the candidate should be able to participate in residential fieldwork and day trips as appropriate. An ability to contribute to teaching in the area of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) would be an advantage”
This is a full time post (35 hours per week). The post is available immediately and is fixed term until 31st December 2019.
Salary: £27,025 - £31,302 per annum (Grade 5)
