We are looking for a Trial Assistant to work within the Department of Psychiatry providing support to a research team whose main work involves running a large clinical trial of mindfulness in schools (MYRIAD). The post is based at the Warneford Hospital

The post is funded for a fixed term (to 31st July 2021), with the aim to have someone in post by Dec 2020.

This is a key role in supporting the work of the MYRIAD project, particularly in relation to the day to day running of the trial which is being run in schools all over the UK. You will provide administrative support to the Trial Manager and other members of the trial research team. This role is varied, but includes; developing and maintaining participant and research filing systems, supporting the research team by liaising with trial staff and trial participants (including head teachers, teachers, parents and young people) as well as attending meetings to take notes and produce minutes.

With a good general education, (A level or equivalent) you will have excellent IT skills (Microsoft office packages, in particular Excel), and experience of or willingness to learn about IT systems specific to the University. You should have experience of working within a research team and of working with confidential information. An awareness of GDPR, Research and Clinical Governance Guidelines and ethical requirements would be an advantage as would an administrative or business qualification.
