Job description

Turning Passion into Purpose. London South Bank University are excited to be recruiting for the post Timetabling Officer to join their highly skilled Student Operations department. This department engages in various academic collaborative activities at a variety of levels and stages. The team have a strategic, proactive, user-focused, and fully integrated approach to student operations. It provides central support for students throughout their time at the University from admission through to graduation and to manage and develop a range of operations and systems which are key to the overall functioning of the Registrar’s Department. Student Operations work to identify how to deploy and develop organisational structures, practices, policies, and technology to meet the current and future needs of the University and particularly its students.

  

This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to assist with the compilation, production and maintenance of timetables created with the University’s timetabling software in line with LSBU Timetabling Policy. The postholder will work in continuous collaboration with all Schools and Professional Service Departments, communicating effectively to ensure the delivery of timetables at course and module level.

 

About You:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:

  • Great communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UK data protection legislation and how it applies to the day-to-day provision of reports and services within a Higher Education setting.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure.
  • Proven IT skills and familiarity with MS Office tools, especially MS Excel to manipulate and present data.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who enjoys customer interaction. As well as being highly customer service orientated, whilst having the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.

 

You will need to be a great team player with a can-do attitude.
