The Gradel Institute of Charity Senior Research Fellowship

The College invites applications for this post, which is tenable for a fixed period of one year from 1st September 2024 based at The Gradel Institute of Charity, New College, Oxford.

The Fellowship will be either full-time or part-time with the expectation that the Fellow will undertake their own independent and original research in Charity.

The Fellowship is open to those who have already obtained a PhD in a relevant subject and is intended for researchers at an advanced stage in their career with a strong publication record and a history of success in securing research grants.

The Fellowship carries a stipend of £60,000 p.a. (pro rata for part time). The appointment will be pensionable under the USS scheme, details of which are available here: https://www.uss.co.uk/ .

Fellows are entitled to free lunch and dinner at the common table when this is available. In addition, the fellow will be entitled to use a research and teaching account (£3,980 p.a.), and an entertainment account of £815 p.a. based on full time working.

The appointment will be for a fixed period of one year with the possibility of renewal.
