Weekly hours: Casual basis

Location: Streatham and St Lukes Campus – Exeter (can choose preferences)

Summary of the role

This post is to join the Exams Team invigilation pool on a casual basis. There are 3 main exam periods throughout the year these are January, April-May and August. There are also Mid-term exams which run October – December and February – end of March, these are shorter exams and are spread out over several months rather than over a set period as with the main exam periods.

There are three types of invigilation:
- Standard main hall
- Specific provision (students with specific requirements)
- Online/computer based.

You could be allocated to any of these types of invigilation, on appointment when asked for your availability you will be asked to provide your preferences also.

Please be aware if you are successful in joining the invigilation pool you will have to complete four short online mandatory training courses and complete in house training.

Key aspects of the role

• To assist with the setting up of venues for exams, laying out exam papers and materials.
• Assist candidates to find seats and prepare for the start of the exam.
• Ensuring candidates follow exam condition protocols at all times.
• Checking attendance and reporting.
• Dealing with queries raised by candidates.
• Supervising candidates at all times.

The starting rate will be £11.97 per hour plus holiday pay.
