Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University?

Come and be part of an innovative and influential University department delivering excellent IT and business services to a leading Russell Group institution. With a reputation for engaging staff and students in partnership to deliver services, for three years running UK students have voted us best for IT support. We are committed to delivering and supporting excellent customer focussed services and to do this we need to recruit the best staff, invested in higher education and dedicated to supporting sector leading learning, teaching and research – and that’s why we need you…

We have an exciting opportunity in our IT Services for someone looking to use their skills to support our move to a cloud-hosted telephony platform.

You will be part of our multiskilled Telephony Team who deliver, support and develop all telephony services across the organisation.  This role will focus on supporting the migration of telephony services from the legacy on premise platform to a new cloud hosted solution. This includes enterprise telephony, contact centre and switchboard environments.

This will be an exciting and challenging opportunity to deliver a technology transformation within a large organisation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and proficiency in productivity tools, such as Excel or Google Sheets. An understanding of telephony services within a business environment would be beneficial, however self-motivation coupled with strong attention to detail and the ability to understand new technologies will be of greater advantage.

As part of this role, you will liaise with local department contacts to gather requirements and existing information, prepare and co-ordinate migrations to the new solution, as well as providing support before and after going live. Duties may also include assisting with the deployment of new telephone handsets in those areas where a replacement is required.

We are committed to enabling our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over where and how to achieve the required outputs, in discussion with your manager.

We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
