Technology Enhanced Learning Support Technician

We are looking to recruit an academic learning technologies support technician to help deliver technical support for learning technologies used within post graduate and graduate online education the Faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to establish a career in online learning opportunities within a dynamic forward-thinking University.  

Duties include, but are not limited to, filming, video production and editing, technical support for hardware and software used in online lectures and associated computers/software, webinar management using different digital technologies, online student support, maintaining inventories, resource management and maintaining well-organized online resource storage areas. There will be opportunities to learn and support specialist learning technologies within the Faculty.  

Candidates will ideally have experience of Learning Technologies in further or higher education and will require knowledge of creative and digital media editing. You will be working with a wide range of software and technologies to support the Faculty staff and create resources for innovative online teaching and learning. 

Candidate should have a qualification in IT or Learning Technologies related subject and relevant experience. Relevant qualifications accepted include BA/BSc, BTEC, HND, NVQ (level 3 or above) or equivalent, with a minimum of GSCE maths and English language or equivalent.
