Leeds Trinity University is excited to be growing its provision in Health and Life Sciences. Within the new School of Health & Life Science (HLS), we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, collaborative, and high-performing Biomedical Science Technician to join our team supporting a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, plus research and knowledge exchange activities.  The successful candidate will provide technical, learning and research support to students and staff in Biomedical Science and related areas.  This may include group and one-to-one support on-campus and online to students in relation to laboratory-based learning (including the development of online resources).  In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the maintenance of a high-functioning Biomedical Science laboratory, used by staff, students, and external clients, and offer laboratory-based staff training (for using specified equipment).

Applicants should ideally be a graduate in Biomedical Science, Biological Science or a related discipline and have at least 4-months relevant experience as a technician.  Hours of work will be 35 hours per week and a degree of flexibility is expected such as some evening and weekend work.

The post holder would have the opportunity to study for a relevant PhD (part-time) at Leeds Trinity University if they so wished, with the potential of a fee waiver, subject to an approved study application and staff expertise available for supervision.
