The University for the Creative Arts is expanding its course portfolio with the introduction of the Visual Effects pathways.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to join our Technical Learning team to help establish the support and delivery required for the next generation of VFX professionals.

We’re looking for a Technical Tutor in VFX Artist whose duty consists of supporting industry-relevant software and hardware geared towards the structure of the VFX processes, spliting into 2D/3D compositing creating high-end film and television, and visual effects production pipelines.

The successful applicant will have experience and expertise in Autodesk Maya, Adobe After effects, Blender, Nuke, ZBrush and Houdini and other associated compositing software. You will show a strong understanding of real-time VFX software including Unreal Engine.

Your familiarity with the programmes will enable you to put together instructional materials, conduct technical workshops, and offer technical training as needed.  In addition to software delivery, we search for candidates who can take ownership of the VFX resources, ensuring that the studio is at its best and that the software and hardware are always ready to be used.

You are responsible for the health and safety in your area of competence. Additionally, you'll be a strong team player with solid communication skills, and you'll be able to show that you have the ability to interact diplomatically with both student and staff. It's crucial to have the capacity to work under pressure.
