We are looking to appoint a Technical Tutor in Garment production to join our team at Epsom.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our Fashion Design courses at Epsom. You will collaborate with the Academic team to collectively generate new course materials and develop learning activities specific to our Fashion Design course portfolio, where technical knowhow is match by creativity, experimentation and innovation.

The Fashion studios are a dynamic environment, and the purpose of this position is to support students in their development within this specialism. Providing technical workshops, inductions and demonstrations on equipment and processes, you will support students to understand, develop and push the creative possibilities of 3D development and realisation associated with high-end garment construction and finishing.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and experience of garment production, materials, equipment and procedures.

You will contribute to the care and day-to-day operation of the Fashion studios including the management and maintenance of specialist equipment and ensuring that the safety of our learners is always maintained.

You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to problem solve and apply initiative. Whilst working under pressure, you will be able to demonstrate a positive and flexible approach when working with students and staff. The ability to work as part of a team is essential.
