The opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Digitial &Technology team delivering a range of initiatives within the Technology function.

You will be scoping works, creating plans and co-ordinating technical resources, through matrix management techniques, in the successful delivery of project tasks and milestones as set against service improvement plans. 

You will be workoing closely with all the Technology teams across Service Operations, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Collaboration platforms as well as a wide range of stakeholders to deliver projects in these areas. 

The Technical Project Manager is an exciting new opportunity which will work closely with the Director for Technology, and key Heads of Service, to ensure successful delivery of multiple complex technology projects and change initiatives, aligned to meet UAL’s overall strategy, including cyber security, cloud hosting and storage, endpoint protection and service management.

You will ensure customer needs are met and initiatives are delivered on time and to budget, whilst taking a service design approach within the delivery of technology change, to ensure the University’s service needs are met through the continued development of their product roadmaps.


About you

 

  • Project Management qualification
  • Knowledge of development methodologies e.g. Waterfall, Agile
  • Experience with User Acceptance /testing processes
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies including SQL, web server, Unix, Windows, VMware, and identity and access management
  • Understanding of ITIL, specifically service improvement planning
