Salary
£40927 to £50296 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for this post based at the Ann Craft Trust, a registered national charity committed to safeguarding disabled young people and adults at risk from abuse.

This exciting new post offers an opportunity to influence future planning and delivery of safeguarding advice and support to the sport and activity sector. The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing the Safeguarding Adults in Sport team and for reviewing and developing services in relation to adults at risk in sport. This will include identifying, planning and implementing new initiatives in line with current practice and within key contracts.  They will lead a team that delivers training, offers advice and information to both regulated and unregulated sport and activity organisations and represent the sector at key consultations nationally.

Candidates should have a social work or other relevant qualification and vocational experience.  They should have experience in managing a team, good communication and organisational skills, project management experience as well as experience of influencing strategic partners and stakeholders. A proven track record of working in the sport sector and up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues and the sport and activity sector is required. 

This is a full time, permanent with underlying fixed term funding ending 31 March 2027. The post is open to part time working, minimum 30h per week. Job share arrangements may be considered.
