Deadline: 04 Aug 2021

The Stopford Undergraduate Teaching Laboratories (SUGT) is a large suite of labs which supports practical teaching for all undergraduate students within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health.  The Consultation Skills Learning Centre supports students within the School of Medicine, undertaking simulation skills to practice patient consultations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking individual with a good scientific background to be contributing to a service which values the student experience above all else.  The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support as required, as well as to ensure that the equipment and consumables required for delivery of our practical sessions is well stocked & maintained and available as required, depending on the skills being taught.  Housekeeping will be an important aspect of the role, particularly in the CSLC area where high standards must be met to prepare students for clinical practice.

N.B.  The role is a 12-month fixed term position, pending the outcome of a review of the technical service provision across the Faculty.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.  All appointments are made on merit.
