The Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Southampton invites applications to a Teaching Fellow post in Applied Linguistics, available on a fixed-term basis (9 months). Applications are invited from scholars with experience of teaching courses in Applied Linguistics and/or English Language Teaching.
You must have completed a PhD in a relevant field of Applied Linguistics or English Language Teaching. You will be expected to contribute to research-led teaching, and will support the delivery and ongoing development of a suite of MA programmes in Applied Linguistics and ELT/TESOL, as well as Applied Linguistics modules in our undergraduate programmes. As relevant to your expertise and experience, your teaching duties may also include contributions to specialist modules on language learning theories, e-learning in the language curriculum, English as Medium of Instruction, Teaching English to Young Learners, or language testing and assessment.

Over the last five years, Modern Languages and Linguistics has built and maintained a deserved reputation as a leading centre for linguistics with thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
