Salary:  £32,348 to £43,414 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Media and Culture on a fixed-term full-time basis based within the Department of Cultural, Media and Visual Studies in the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies.

The successful candidate will provide teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas such as gender, sexuality and media, new media and digital culture, and media industries and will provide advice as a member of a teaching team within an established programme of study.

The role holder will have specific responsibility for identifying the learning needs of students and ensure that the content, methods of delivery, and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives of our BA and MA courses.

Candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent in relevant subject areas (e.g. media and communication studies or other relevant area) and have previous experience of teaching at Higher Education level. You should have detailed knowledge of teaching methods and techniques and growing practical experience of application of teaching skills and techniques to university courses.
