0.5FTE Lecturer in Environmental Health (part time, two-year fixed term post)

The School of Life Sciences offers high quality teaching and student support across a range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes and has delivered a successful portfolio of UG and Degree Apprenticeship courses in Environmental Health for some time. We are about to re-launch our Degree Apprenticeship programme and are therefore seeking to appoint a Teaching Associate in Environmental Health to support the team with its delivery. This two-year fixed term post will be on a part-time (0.5 FTE) basis.

In this role you will specifically support learners throughout the apprenticeship with transition to higher education, pastoral care, and academic skills. You will enable the learners to develop their knowledge and skills through workshops, tutorials and practical classes and be committed to providing an excellent student experience.

You should have a first degree in a related discipline or equivalent and have knowledge and experience that will enable you to contribute to teaching, learning and assessment within environmental health and be able to explain subject matter to students with diverse learning styles. You will have experience of supporting students and be able to contribute to the wider student experience. Good communication and organisational skills are essential attributes.
