The School of English is seeking to appoint a part-time Teaching Associate in Applied Linguistics for 18 hours per week. This is a fixed term appointment to provide cover for a member of staff on maternity leave from 3 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.
The successful candidate will be specialised in Psycholinguistics and Language Development, with expertise in two or more of the following areas: Psycholinguistics, Language Acquisition, Language Development. An ability to teach Intercultural Communication is desirable.
Candidates should have a PhD in Applied Linguistics or in a closely related area, as well as having teaching experience. Evidence of the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential, covering (preferably more than one of) the above areas.
Mentoring towards further career progression will be offered throughout the period of the post.
