£31406 to £40927 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint a Teaching Associate in anatomy. Applications are invited for the post of Teaching Associate in Anatomy based at University Hospitals of Burton and Derby NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Derby Hospital Centre, Derby.

You will work directly with dedicated team of anatomy educators and an anatomy teaching prosector. You will have opportunities to deliver lectures, facilitate problem-based learning (PBL) tutorials, supervise final year BSc student projects and contribute to assessment processes. You will regularly facilitate face-to-face workshops in our Anatomy Suite at Derby, where we teach gross anatomy using a mixture of prosections, models and 3D digital resources. You will be expected to create new prosections for use in our workshops and this may involve occasional travel by shuttle bus to the main Medical School site at Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham

You will be someone who is interested in pursuing a career in anatomy education and who is enthusiastic about using new technologies to enhance teaching and learning. You will be the personal tutor for a cohort of students and will provide a consistently excellent standard of teaching and support for student learning. The successful applicant will also be encouraged to pursue opportunities related to research in anatomy education

You must have a relevant degree and a postgraduate (MSc) in anatomy or related subject area and may or may not have teaching qualification. You will have experience of teaching anatomy at HE level and the ability to creatively apply relevant approaches to teaching and learning support. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information.

This is a permanent, full-time post (36.25 hours per week). Arrangements for job share would be considered.
