The Department of Foundation Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Nottingham is looking for a Teaching Associate with specialism in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, specifically AC Power and 3-phase systems, AC Machines and Power Electronics to teach on the Electro-mechanical engineering degree apprenticeship programme.

The purpose of this role is to identify the learning needs of students and ensure that the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the defined learning objectives of an established course. The successful candidate will be expected to use initiative and creativity in their teaching to develop their expertise. This will involve developing new teaching and assessment practices, using appropriate learning technologies and/or developing systematic methods for evaluating and disseminating these within the academic unit.

This role is fixed term until 30th June 2024. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 18 hours per week).
