Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow is seeking to appoint a highly capable Economics Teaching Associate in the Department of Economics. The successful candidate shall join our highly talented team. Applications are especially welcome from those with teaching interests in macroeconomics and applied econometrics. The Department has diverse teaching interests. Department colleagues engage in collaborations with Economists throughout the UK/internationally and contribute to a number of international networks and organisations. Through the Fraser of Allander Institute, which is based within the department, students also learn from academics with interests in applied and policy orientated research.

We have a commitment to excellence in teaching. In addition to running a large undergraduate Economics programme, we also have excellent postgraduate programmes. Our strong portfolio of taught postgraduate programmes includes our distinctive MSc in Applied Economics, aimed at the aspiring professional Economist, topical MSc in Economics & Policy of Energy & Climate Change and online programme equivalents. The Department of Economics has a collaborative Undergraduate Programme in Economics, with excellent National Student Survey responses. Strathclyde Economics also ranks highly in University League Tables.
