The Talent 25 Research Programme: Talent 25 is a long-term action research programme and a partnership between Arts Council England and De Montfort University. Its vision is to explore the vital points of intervention in a child’s life which ensure that all individuals have a wide range of cultural experiences and opportunities to unearth their creative talent. The project is to commence its next phase of activities in April 2024, and we are looking for a motivated, engaging, and outgoing individual with a commitment to supporting the engagement and participation of the Talent 25 children and their families in the research activities.

Role

The main purpose of this role is to lead in developing partnerships and a collaborative delivery framework with cultural producers and individual artists in Leicester and beyond to share best practices, enhance the reputation of the Talent 25 programme and build capacity with local cultural organisations. The post-holder will manage the Talent 25 creative and cultural programme, working with the Talent 25 programme team and cultural sector in Leicester and nationally, enabling a rich, varied and relevant cultural offer for the Talent 25 children and their families. This role is part time (22.2 hours per week) therefore, the salary shown will be pro-rata’d.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an individual with experience in partnership working with the cultural sector and early years providers and expertise in developing, facilitating and managing high-quality, innovative, inclusive, creative and cultural programmes for the early years and their families. In addition, we welcome candidates with the knowledge and understanding of the UK's arts, creativity, and cultural sector and awareness of research and ethical processes to join the Talent 25 research programme team. We would welcome candidates with experience in various participatory arts/creative and cultural activities, including but not limited to theatre, music, dance, digital, visual arts and outdoor arts. Moreover, the candidate will possess an ability to build internal and external networks, manage a diverse portfolio of artists’ projects, and effectively communicate and represent the mission of the Talent 25 programme to practitioners and the general public. The successful candidate will require a satisfactory DBS check.
