We are seeking a Systematic Reviewer to join the (Knee Research Group) in Oxford which is part of the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) based in the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford. The project is collaboration between the University of Oxford and the University of Warwick and is funded by the National Institute for Health Research Health Technology Assessment programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of collaborators from a number of groups.
As a Systematic Reviewer, you will be responsible for the conduct and delivery of a series of high quality and high profile systematic reviews of the effectiveness of surgery for early osteoarthritis of the hip and knee joint in a timely fashion. You will be expected to work independently and manage your own independent research activities as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will work alongside the senior lead systematic reviewer and will present and discuss the project methodology with the research team and, where appropriate, adapt the methodology to align with the highest methodological rigor and the research team’s advice. You will contribute to the preparation of reports and articles, and present research results both internally and externally if required.
You will hold a first degree (first or upper class second) in a health related or scientific discipline. Demonstrable previous experience in conducting and delivering high quality systematic reviews and evidence of strong analytical skills is essential as is: strong IT literacy, excellent communication skills and an ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and independently. A postgraduate degree (or equivalent professional experience in relevant field) and content expertise in the management of people with osteoarthritis are desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment until 31 January 2021.
