Description
Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining an Institution-wide energy conservation program.
- Work on developing sustainability project goals, objectives, initiatives, or strategies in collaboration with other sustainability professionals.
- Review and revise sustainability proposals or policies.
- Research or review regulatory, technical, or market issues related to sustainability.
- Assess or propose sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, technical feasibility, and acceptance.
- Provide technical or administrative support for sustainability programs or issues.
- Identify or create new sustainability indicators.
- Create or maintain plans or other documents related to sustainability projects.
- Identify needed resources to implement sustainability programs or projects.
- Identify or create new sustainability indicators.
- Monitor or track sustainability indicators, such as energy usage, natural resource usage, waste generation, and recycling.
- Identify or investigate violations of natural resources, waste management, recycling, or other environmental policies.
- Coordinate lab waste disposal activities and procedures, and ensure that they are being performed in a safe and environmentally friendly way.
- Assist in the development of sustainability training courses when required.
- Assist in the development of sustainability report to communicate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
- Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the related field.
Required Experience:
- Expats: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- UAE Nationals: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
