About the team

As part College Services, you will join the Technical Services team. The team provides discipline specific, applied knowledge and skill sets to support UWA’s teaching and research goals in unison with our academic staff.

This position sits with the team that underpins training and learning across the broad Field of Education of “Life Sciences” and may include disciplines such as gross anatomy, physiology, sports science, optometry and podiatry including the curation of associated resources.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Scientific Officer based at UWA’s Crawley main campus, you will provide high level administrative support to the Body Donation Program. You will liaise with potential donors, administers confidential paperwork and sensitively liaise with the bereaved families, next of kins and Health Professionals from the Department of Health, Funeral Directors, the Attorney General’s Department and the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board. You will also assist with collating information for compliance needs and organising triannual memorial services and various workshops. In addition, you may be required to provide occasional support to senior technical staff.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level with the ability to deal with grieving members of the public in a sensitive, professional and empathetic manner. You will also be willing and able to fit the physical requirements of the position.

Note: Some after-hours work and a Current Australian Federal Police (AFP) Check will be required for the successful applicant.
