We are looking for a Student Visa Compliance Supervisor to join the Registry Operations department within Academic and Student Support Services.

The Student Visa Compliance team is responsible for monitoring processes and ensuring that both the university and students remain compliant with Student Route visa requirements, this includes accurately reporting student data to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), so that there is no risk to the University’s Sponsor Licence, without which we would be unable to recruit internationally. The team covers specialist support for the international student lifecycle from applicants, enrolment, course transfers and absences, through to reporting successful course completion for Graduate Route visas.

The work of the team is engaging, with staff motivated to support our international students to the highest level. We are seeking to recruit a reliable, and self-motivated individual to join us.

The role-holder will support the work of the team by supervising the team’s administrative officers and supporting small-scale projects within student visa compliance. This post will support a culture of continuous service improvement and undertake a range of duties:

  • Provide line management for the Student Visa Compliance Administrators
  • Supervise the operation of the Student Visa Compliance team, planning, organising, and delegating work, monitoring progress and intervening as required
  • Develop and advise on key processes related to Student Visa Compliance
  • Work alongside the Student Information Management System (SIMS) Team, to ensure that systems related to Student Visa Compliance are automated and fit for purpose
