The Health Team are looking to appoint a Student Transitions Teacher based in the Health Professions Foundation Year. You will teach a range of modules to students at the beginning of their journey into Higher Education for a wide range of Professional Health courses - all branches of Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Occupational Therapy.

This is a full-time position, based at our Wolverhampton City Campus. You will be expected to teach an average of 18 hours per week on a broad range of modules including Academic Study Skills, Public Health, Personal and Professional Values, Anatomy and Physiology and Interprofessional working. This is not a lecturing position, and you will not be expected to deliver teaching to large groups of students.

You will have the ability to deliver inclusive and engaging blended learning sessions which promotes student understanding and academic developmental whilst meeting their diverse needs.

Student Transitions Teacher will have

  • A good undergraduate degree in a related field
  • A full PGCE in either Post Compulsory or relevant subject in Secondary and experience teaching level 3 and 4 students in Higher or Further Education. I.e., PGCE in Post Compulsory Education or PgCert Ed
  • Experience working within healthcare or teaching healthcare students would be beneficial
