The University of Nottingham Students’ Union are recruiting

Welcome Reps

The Role

Are you able to motivate and engage others and love talking to new people, with a passion for making sure your fellow students have the best time at University? This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with Student Union staff to promote all the fantastic events and activities for Welcome 2024 to new students and be there to guide them through their first experience of the legendary club nights. Welcome is where new students make friends, try new things and meet their people and we need a solid Welcome rep team to be the face of the Students’ Union to make sure Welcome 2024 is the best it can be. Are you approachable with experience promoting using social media with a savvy approach? Do you have experience of working effectively in a team and have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Experience of event promotion is desirable but not essential. Can you work autonomously, be organised and with really strong communication skills? Then we need you!

To be considered you need to be available in person for the assessment centre and training on the following dates:

Assessment Centre - Wednesday 15th May either AM or PM

Training - Wednesday 18th September all day

The role runs from 18th September – 6th October 2024 with up to 20 paid hours available but there may be further paid work opportunities through our commercial team across the year.

How to apply

If you will be a student at UoN through to October 6th 2024 and wish to apply, please complete this form here where you will asked to provide some short statements on how you meet the person specification. If you are shortlisted from your application, you must be available to attend a 2 hour assessment centre on Wednesday 15th May in either the morning or afternoon. At the assessment centre you will meet other applicants and take part in a series of tasks where your suitability for the role will be assessed by the Students’ Union staff team.
