Location: UWS Paisley Campus or UWS Lanarkshire Campus, with regular travel to other campus locations. This role requires extensive travel throughout the UK.

Full-time: 35 hours per week

The Role

This is a key role in the University’s high-performing Marketing & Student Recruitment Department.

The post holder will:

  • Support UWS’ strategic plan to recruit high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate students by delivering and promoting a range of activities, together with nurturing close links with secondary schools, FE colleges and other external stakeholders.
  • Have specific responsibility for recruiting students from the rest of the UK market and will also support the delivery of student recruitment targets in the domestic (Scottish) market.
  • Work in partnership with the Admissions Office and the wider Marketing and Recruitment team.
  • Have a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have a current UK driving licence or equivalent. This post will involve significant travel across the UK throughout the year. Access to a UWS vehicle will be provided.
  • Have proven and significant experience of preparing and delivering presentations, ideally in a Higher Education or customer-driven sales environment.
  • Have a track record of effectively project-managing a number of activities at any one time and be able to demonstrate experience of using complex database systems, together with experience of report writing in a professional setting.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Have demonstrable interpersonal skills, well-developed customer care skills, and be capable of working away from home extensively and for significant periods of time.

The Student Recruitment team is currently working on a flexible basis due to current

COVID-19 restrictions and a mix of on-campus and homeworking work may be required.
