We are looking for an enthusiastic, and organised individual to join our Marketing and Recruitment team working as a Student Recruitment Assistant.

You will be a key member of the team, delivering the first point of contact with the University to our future students. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment and working closely with the wider Marketing & Recruitment team to deliver many of the UCAS and Higher Education fairs across the country, encouraging young people to consider the University as a place to study, the role will also include assisting with on-campus events such as School Visits and Open Days. Great communication skills are key, as you will use these to manage relationships with key members of our wider University teams and the schools and further education colleges we work with.

The workload will be varied, and you will need to be confident in being able to communicate effectively (both in writing and orally), work effectively both within a team and independently, and use your initiative and be proactive with problem-solving.

We are looking for a total of 1 FTE and, due to the nature of the role, it will need to remain as a full-time position, however flexible working hours and the ability to work outside of normal office hours will be a requirement. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working on campus and at Lawress Hall, as well as travelling nationally as the role requires.

Please note that this post requires an Enhanced DBS check.

If you would like further information or an informal discussion about this exciting opportunity, please contact Ian McGowan, Head of Schools and Colleges Engagement at [email protected] .

This is a redeployment opportunity for colleagues who have been placed at risk of redundancy only, which includes anyone on a fixed term contract which is due to end on or before 31 August 2024.
