The Department of Future Students at the University of South Wales seeks a highly skilled Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager to lead a committed and experienced student recruitment and outreach team. 

The Student Recruitment and Outreach Manager will focus on increasing student recruitment through growth in nominated target markets and will lead on the development and delivery of recruitment and outreach activity to address strategic objectives and, specifically, to meet enrolment targets. This post will have responsibility for developing, implementing, and evaluating the Student Recruitment and Widening Participation Strategies and supporting conversion activity to achieve institutional recruitment targets.

Working with the Associate Director: UK Student Recruitment and other colleagues in Future Students, the post holder will have the flexibility to initiate student recruitment activity and outreach to generate applications, support University objectives and make a significant impact on the attainment of KPIs.

Exemplary team working and leadership skills are critical to this post, as is the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all stakeholders. A key element of the role will be to maintain and develop key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Under the leadership of the Associate Director: UK Student Recruitment, the role will involve representing the department and the University on a number of internal and external groups. The post-holder will also lead on the development and promotion of the University’s scholarships and bursaries.

The post-holder will lead a dynamic, fast-paced team and the role will involve working across a range of marketing functions, as well as significant line management and budget responsibilities. The successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills, be able to innovate and forge partnerships, have significant student recruitment experience within the HE sector and be flexible and hard-working.

This position is based at Pontypridd Campus, University of South Wales, however the post-holder will be expected to work remotely and the University’s other campuses when required. Please note that travel is required as part of this role, and the post-holder will be required to work weekends and evenings.
