Grade 4 (£22,681 - £25,138 p.a.) Depending on experience

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Based in the Student Education Service, Student Finance (Funding) you will help with the provision of funding information and guidance to prospective and existing students. You will be responsible for dealing with enquiries in writing, over the phone and in person.

A key member of a small busy team you will be responsible for the administration and payment of internally sourced student funding, and for communication with external funding agencies to enable accurate assessment of student awards.  The main duties will include: general administration of the Financial Assistance Fund by receiving, checking and logging applications prior to assessment; management of the Funding email inbox, and administration of Canadian Loans and UG Scholarships. You will also update the Student Loans Company (SLC) system, using a web based process, to provide information about the student record status.

It is essential that you have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills and can work independently to meet tight deadlines.  You will be committed to delivering a high level of customer service, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.

You do not need prior knowledge of student funding as full training will be given.
