In this role you will deliver a full programme of enrichment activities at our Angel campus and lead on cross campus planning of sports enrichment and Duke of Edinburgh award
About the role:
You will work with the other Student Engagement Officers, the Enrichment Manager, and the Head of Hubs to plan, organise, deliver, and evaluate an exciting and wide-ranging Student Enrichment & Engagement Programme that includes:- Sports & physical activity enrichment
- Enrichment clubs, societies & workshops
- Student leadership and student voice
- Student events
- Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award
- Student ambassadors & social action
- Awareness raising and skills development workshops
- Student Awards and celebrations
Each of our Student Engagement Officers will be primarily based at one of our 3 campuses either at Holloway, Finsbury Park or Angel. This role is primarily based at Angel campus although you will travel to other centres and other venues that we use.
You will be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the whole student enrichment and engagement programme, including a large variety of clubs and societies, student events, awareness raising workshops and student voice activities, at the campus where you are based. In addition, each enrichment officer leads on coordinating the cross-campus planning of an area. For this role we are looking for someone to lead on the cross-campus planning of:
- Sports Enrichment, Sports Teams, Sports Ambassadors and the Duke of Edinburgh (D of E) Award
About you:
You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is open to a challenge and enjoys working within a creative, supportive, and fast paced team. You will have a range of L1 and /or L2 coaching qualifications across a variety of sports and preferably a fitness instructor qualification. You will have at least two years’ experience working with young people (aged 16-19). You will have experience of youth engagement, group facilitation, event/project planning and coaching. If you have experience of delivering the D of E award this is a bonus.
You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and be passionate about young people's engagement, participation, and skills development; you will be innovative and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team as well as having an ability to work independently. You will have excellent organisational, problem solving, planning and group facilitation skills and an ability to network and build partnerships.

About CANDI
City Islington College is an award-winning further education college in London with centres in Holloway, Angel and Finsbury Park. The College offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses from entry levels right through to HE for young and adult learners. These include foundation learning, A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education.
