The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of International Student Engagement Coaches.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To monitor the attendance of international students, and proactively arrange and lead intervention meetings when the required threshold is not being met.
  • To support international students who are at academic risk of not continuing and/or completing their studies.
  • To proactively identify trends and pattern so to engage students who may breach the Student Route Attendance and Engagement Policy.
  • To develop, manage and monitor the impact of engagement plans with students identified as ‘at-risk’ in relation to not achieving good student outcomes. 
  • The successful candidate will have skills and experience in:

  • Previous work within education providing practical academic support and guidance to international students, or similar experience.
  • To be able to communicate in a clear, accurate and professional manner, both verbally and in writing to a range of internal and external students, staff and stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the types of issues international students face and the impact these can have disengagement and progression.
  • Ability to learn administrative systems, such as SEAtS, to take a proactive approach.
