The Quality and Standards Office plays a key role in the development of the University’s quality assurance and academic regulatory frameworks, including the approval, monitoring, and review of courses. It also provides a Committee Secretariat function and supports the University’s three Colleges in meeting their responsibility for quality assurance, academic standards, and governance.
We are seeking to appoint a full time Caseworker, who will investigate alleged breaches of the University’s assessment offence regulations and Student Code of Conduct regulations and assist with the collation of information relating to student academic appeals and complaints. The post holder will also work closely with the academic Colleges and staff in College Registry Offices to ensure swift resolution of student casework.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of the application of academic regulations and the use of a Student Record System. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as are independence of judgement, and the ability to evaluate complex issues and maintain confidentiality.
