Applications are invited for the newly created Strategic Communications Advisor role at Royal Holloway, University of London.

The Strategic Communications Advisor will support the Vice-Chancellor and Principal’s office and the University’s senior leadership team with strategic communications. This will include researching and preparing speeches, speaking points, briefing notes, blogs/opinion pieces and updates for key audiences.

Working closely with colleagues across Internal and External Communications, you will lead on communications relating to the University’s new strategy (RH2030s), including internal engagement, and supporting the launch to key stakeholders in Autumn 2024 as well as on-going communication of updates in relation to the strategy.

You’ll be an experienced corporate communications professional, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to manage the reputation of an organisation through a crisis or issue. With an interest in the Higher Education sector, you will be up to speed on politics and current affairs to ensure you can identify opportunities to help us tell the University’s story in support of the strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised and adaptable, enjoy working collaboratively and be skilled at developing strong and successful relationships across a large organisation.
