We are looking for a Staff Clinician in Small Animal Internal Medicine, FTC maternity cover in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. This person would work mainly from our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London.

The candidate would join our existing Internal Medicine team consisting of 8 internists who have developed into key opinion leaders in various subspecialties including endocrinology, nephrology, urology, immunology, haematology and gastroenterology. The team prides itself on providing a friendly, balanced and supportive environment, with plenty of opportunities to develop additional subspecialty interests.

The appropriate candidate will be expected to take an active role in the clinical activities of the section, providing efficient and the highest standards of clinical care for patients and undertake an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate clinical teaching including formal and informal group teaching and seminars for undergraduates. You will also be expected to supervise and mentor postgraduate students as required. This post has a 70:30 split in duties between clinical service and academic activities (undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and collaborative research). This position is a 12 month fixed term-position.

We are looking for true team players with exceptional communication skills and who are enthusiastic about working with students, including supporting undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary science, who hold or are eligible to sit the examination for a postgraduate diploma in Internal Medicine.
