At Royal Holloway, Active Lifestyle and Sport is an essential element of the student experience.   The Active Lifestyle & Sport team is responsible for encouraging participation in sport, health and fitness activities across campus to enhance student, staff and visitor wellbeing, whilst working closely with colleagues across the university and the Students’ Union. It is not only about running sport facilities but about the activities and programmes that are delivered to build a sense of belonging and community at Royal Holloway.

The role will involve collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders,  including working with the Students’ Union to support the growth of inclusive student led sports clubs, partnering with the Widening Participation department and local authority to engage young people from our local communities in physical activity, and supporting the Active Lifestyle and Sport team on wider projects and activities. Responsibilities also include recruiting and training casual staff members, mentoring coaches and volunteers, and leading on community engagement events throughout the year.

In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including:

  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Training and Development opportunities
  • Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution
