The Sport and Physical Activity department based within the LJMU Sport Building are looking to appoint an individual into the role of Sports Assistant working every Saturday, 08:00 - 17:00.
The LJMU Sport and Physical Activity Department manages the university sports facilities and promotes the goals and aspirations of the physical activity and Sports Strategic Plan. The department is based within the LJMU Sport Building which includes an eight court sports hall, two multifunctional studio rooms and a two floor gym comprising of over 120 training stations complete with the latest Technogym Excite range of equipment.
Reporting to the Sport Supervisor, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of the Sport Building and providing the safe and efficient operation to all users. You should have experience within a sport, exercise and fitness environment, good communication skills and a strong commitment to customer care.
The work will include setting up activity areas, working at Reception and providing basic maintenance and cleaning duties. Enthusiasm and motivational skills are a must, and the ability to relate well to students, colleagues, clubs, and community users are essential. You will work as part of the team being responsible for the operations of the Sports Facilities.
