Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. We have made our mark with high quality, well-directed teaching and research, and a stimulating and enriching experience for our students.

Student and Academic Services is based in the Bernard King Library and is made up of five teams: the Career Development Centre; the Counselling and Mental Health Service; the Learner Development Service, Abertay Sport and the Advisory Service. Student Services aims to integrate the services offered and to develop a culture of continuous improvement using an evidenced-based practice model. Additionally, Student and Academic Services also aim to provide both high quality, professional, non-judgmental and impartial counselling, advice and assistance; and up-to-date and unbiased information on a broad range of issues for former, current and prospective students.

Abertay Sport is part of the Student and Academic Services Directorate located in the Graham Building. We feel that sport and physical activity can play an important role in the education and development of students and that sport and physical activity should play a critical role in the student experience at Abertay.
